Why a novel?

Fiction gives pupils a safe distance.

Vinny, Abby and Sofia allow a class to discuss warning signs, friendship and help through characters rather than personal disclosure. The book can open the conversation; trained adults and safeguarding procedures must hold it safely.

Freedom Charity’s lesson resources support a structured approach. The official GOV.UK forced-marriage guidance provides current legal information and routes to the Forced Marriage Unit.
